In rural Cambodia, two-thirds of all mothers do not receive any assistance from a trained health professional during pregnancy. Sim Tem, a traditional birthing assistant trained through this project, has helped the women of Pakle through childbirth while also providing advice for the mothers’ post-natal healthcare.

The childbirth kit provides equipment to sterilise tools and assist a safe childbirth for mothers and babies in remote regions of Cambodia. The kit costs just $70 for each traditional birthing assistant. To ensure that we can continue to support this valuable program, please donate today.
